Shipping policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at Shelf 216. We are committed to delivering your unique finds safely and quickly. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Shipment Processing Time

  • Handling Time: We pride ourselves on speed. All orders are generally processed and shipped the next business day after payment has cleared.

  • Business Days: Our business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Orders received on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday will typically ship the following Monday.

  • High Volume: If we are experiencing a significantly high volume of orders (such as during the holiday season), shipments may be delayed by a maximum of one day. If there will be a significant delay in the shipment of your order, we will contact you via email.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout based on the weight of the item and your location. We ship from Pennsylvania, ensuring quick transit times to the Northeast and reliable service to the rest of the United States.

  • Carriers: We primarily utilize USPS to ensure the best balance of speed and cost for your specific item.

  • Delivery Delays: Delivery delays can occasionally occur due to carrier issues or weather. Shelf 216 is not responsible for delays once the package has been handed over to the carrier.

Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will generally be active within 24 hours.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Shelf 216 is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).

Damages

We specialize in vintage and often fragile items, and we take great care in packaging your order to withstand the rigors of shipping.

  • Reporting: If you receive your order damaged, please contact us immediately.

  • Procedure: Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim. We may require photos of the damage and the packaging to process a refund or insurance claim.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Shelf 216 is not liable for packages that are confirmed as delivered by the carrier but are subsequently lost or stolen. If your tracking information states that your package was delivered to your address and you have not received it, please contact the shipping carrier directly to open a claim.
